Arctic Canvas is a creative retreat space and artist residency in West Iceland on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Surrounded by raw nature with views of the Snæfellsjökull glacier, the Atlantic Ocean, mountains, and ancient lava fields, it's a serene sanctuary — located right beside Snæfellsjökull National Park.

Our mission is to provide an inspiring environment for artists, mindfulness practitioners, and nature scientists — as well as to host mindfulness retreats and creative workshops — offering time and space to concentrate, find inspiration, or simply rejuvenate amidst nature's energy.

By fostering creativity and mindfulness, we aim to contribute positively to our community.

In 2025, the area was designated as Iceland’s first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, recognising it as a model for sustainable living — where people, nature, culture, and creativity coexist in balance.

Just 1.5 km from the charming town of Hellnar, Arctic Canvas is a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Reykjavík and about 3 hours from Keflavík International Airport — remote enough to feel secluded, yet easy to reach.
